She was predeceased by: her parents, Fowler B. Short and Ansy A. Short (Watson); her husband Paul E. Rodenbeck; her daughter Rhonda Rodenbeck Means; her granddaughter Hallie Miller; and her siblings, Jesse Reed Short and Shelby Jean Short.
She is survived by: her children, Rita Rodenbeck Miller, Darrell Rodenbeck and LeAnne Mann (Dan); her grandchildren, Tessie Miller, Nettie Miller, Paul Rodenbeck (Crystal), Brian Rodenbeck (Anna), Andrew Means (Dee), Wyatt Means, Danyel Mann and Landyn Mann; her great grandchildren, Keegyn Stuckey, Leia Christakis, Elek Christakis, Sophia Colbert, Blake Rodenbeck, Dahlia Rodenbeck, Brody Rodenbeck, Ashton Rodenbeck, Archer Rodenbeck, Sloane Ruby Rodenbeck and Hazel Rodenbeck; her great great grandchildren, Raylyn Stuckey and Irelyn Stuckey; and her siblings, Julie Frances Basham and Paul Ray Short. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 25th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Porter-Oliger-Pearson Funeral Home (302 N Franklin St, Greensburg, IN 47240). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 25th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital — causes close to Ruby's heart.
