She was predeceased by: her husband Donald L. Wilhoit; her parents, Milton Barnard and Effie Barnard (Lee); her parents-in-law, George and Josephine Wilhoit (Vernon); and her siblings, Mary Alice Crawley, Jean Humpert, Roland Barnard and Jacqueline Swegman.
She is survived by: her daughter Donna Beth Niehoff (Wilhoit); her son-in-law Donald J. Niehoff; her grandchildren, Ben Niehoff (Heather), Angela DelVecchio (Devon) and Carrie Sander (Matthew); her great grandchildren, Sydney, Rian, Kieran, Lexi, Finley Ruth, Josephine, Austin, Liam, Ari, Christian and Mason; and her niece MaryAnn Crawley.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 15th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Gilliland-Howe Funeral Home (110 E North St, Greensburg, IN 47240). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 15th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Thursday, October 15th 2026 at the South Park Cemetery (405 S East St, Greensburg, IN 47240).
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations in Ruth's honor to Greensburg Lifeline Wesleyan Church or the Oxford Catty Shack.
