He was predeceased by: his parents, Vivian Schmeltz (Rowe) and Raymond Schmeltz; and his siblings, Janet Schmeltz and Raymond Schmeltz. He is survived by: his wife Rhonda Schmeltz (Bockover); his daughter Rachel Buck (Joe); his grandchildren, Asa, Addie and Joseph; and his siblings, Sharol Cox, Priscilla Eadler (Rodger), Carol Iceberg (Danny), Richard Schmeltz (Jenny), Bill Schmeltz (Karen), Stewart Schmeltz (Brenda Knecht) and Mark Schmeltz. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to The Decatur County Conservation Club.
