He was predeceased by: his parents, Adry Freelan and Harlan Eugene Freelan; and his grandson Geoffrey Kirk Blackburn. He is survived by: his wife Marilyn Kay; his daughters, Lori Blackburn (Jeff) of Greensburg, Julie Crowe Jr. (Tom) of Indianapolis and Bekah Shaffer (Ryan) of Geneva, Indiana; his granddaughter Cassie Gamble (Kasey) of Greensburg Kansas; his great grandchildren, Caroline and Kirk Gamble of Greensburg, Kansas; and his pet Lexi Grae.

Visitation will be held on Friday, October 16th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM and on Saturday, October 17th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Sycamore Friends Church (1148 N 1100 E, Greentown, IN 46936). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 16th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the same location.

Memorial contributions may be made to Hazel Dell Friends Church in Windfall, Indiana.
