He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Wallace Eugene "Bob" Tate and Dorothy "Dottie" Tate (Wilkerson); his wife Sandra "Sandy" Tate (Crouch); his children, Randy Tate (Krystal), Kari Hughes (Jeremy), Dan Tate (Stephanie) and Joe Tate (Amanda); his grandchildren, Madison Evans (Ethan), Haileigh Sandefur, Katlynn Sandefur, Jordin Sandefur, MaKayla Sandefur, Joey Badgley, Caleb Hughes, Halie Baer (Jared), Jasmine Tate, Dani Tate, Mackenzie Roberts, Whitney Rood (Robert), Michael Tate, Kyle Tate, Nate Bullins and Andrew Bullins (Shelbie); his great grandchildren, Henry Evans, Lilly Evans, Quincy Evans, Aven Sandefur, River Firkus, Emelyn Baer, Charlee Rood, Braxton Rood, Layla Bullins, Paetyn Swetnam, Kennedi Swetnam and Jamie Hughes; his siblings, Judy Matson (Ed) and Steve Tate (Diane); his parents-in-law, Bob and Wilma Crouch; his sister Joyce Powell (JD); and his grandchildren, Michael Paul Badgley (Baby Badgley) and Kaylee Jo Badgley. He was also cherished by many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation was held on Friday, May 23rd 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Taylor & Cowan Funeral Home and Cremation Services (314 N Main St, Tipton, IN 46072). A celebration of life was held on Friday, May 23rd 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Taylor & Cowan Funeral Home (314 N Main St, Tipton, IN 46072).
