She was predeceased by: her parents, Vern Rayls and Margaret Rayls (Adams); her spouse Thomas A. Prewitt; and her brother-in-law Richard L. Forrey. She is survived by: her daughter Deborah L. "Debbie" Coady (Michael); her granddaughters, Jaime L. VerLee (Sean) and Abbe N. Gibson (David); her great grandchildren, Samuel, Jackson VerLee, Grant and Elaina Gibson; her stepsons, Joseph D. Prewitt of Orlando and William Prewitt (Ellen) of Akron, Ohio; and her sister Carolyn Jean Forrey. She is also survived by four step-grandchildren; eight step-great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, October 7th 2026 at 2:30 PM at the Kokomo Memorial Park Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Main Street United Methodist Church, Riley Children's Hospital, or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
