He was predeceased by: his parents, Kezia Fromer (Davis) and John Fromer; his siblings, Beatrice Fromer, Russell Fromer, Martha Cooksey (Fromer), Howard Fromer and Katherine Fromer (Naab-Russell); his son-in-law Ron Collins; and his grandsons, Mark Simons and Jeffrey Collins.

He is survived by: his wife Winifred "Winnie" Smith; his daughters, Sierra Collins (Ron) and Charla Simons (Gordon); his grandsons, Anthony Simons (Alyssa), Brian Collins (Emily) and David Simons; and his great grandchildren, Sophia, Fiona Simons, Caroline and Catherine Collins. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
