He was predeceased by: his parents, Lillian Hazel and Rev. Elijah Thornton Perkins; his former wife Carolyn Cummings (Speedy Perkins); and his son Gary Philip Perkins. He is survived by: his grandchildren, Josh Wintin (Cresta), Mary Wintin, Sarah Wintin Guthrie (Frank), Aaron Gale (Allie), Elizabeth Taylor (AJ), Bryce Perkins (Trisha), Janalyn Powers (Blake), Trent Perkins (Annie), Kaity Wright, Keaton Wright (Cathryn), Karly Wright, Anna Harper, Caroline Harper and Dal Harper; his great grandchildren, Cohen and Campbell Wintin; his grandchildren, Evelyn, Vonnegut, Salinger Wintin Guthrie, Lucy, Isabel Gale, William, Ellis, Vivian Perkins, Charlotte, Savannah, Bodie Powers, Levi Perkins and Henry Wright; his brothers, Ronald "Wayne" Perkins (Sally) and Dr. Thornton Delos Perkins; and also Sally Anne Perkins (Battin Kirkpatrick).
