We announce the death of Jack D. Ferrell of Greenwood, Indiana, who passed away on September 30, 2026, at the age of 84. He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Ferrell and Vera Ferrell (Woolman); his sister Reba Jean Bensheimer; and his granddaughter Brittany Carter. He is survived by: his great grandchildren, Lily, Preston, Everette, Grayson, Addison and Hailey; his wife Sharon Ferrell (Pratt); his daughters, Annetta Jenkins (Steve) and Cynthia Harper (David); his sister Bonnie Lloyd; his sister-in-law Pamela White; and his grandchildren, Christopher Carter (Nicole), Jessica McKee (Josh), Ashley Willey (Mat) and Jacob Sullivan (Jo). He is also survived by six great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 6th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Wednesday, October 7th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the O'Riley - Branson Funeral Service & Crematory (6107 S East St, Indianapolis, IN 46227). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 7th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the Branson Funeral Service & Crematory (6107 S East St, Indianapolis, IN 46227).
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Jack's memory to The Little Red Door, an organization dedicated to supporting individuals and families affected by cancer.
