He is survived by: his father John; his wife Tonja; his children, Jamie Scott, Sarah Strother (Aaron), Katherine N. Smith (Rouse) and Samuel W. Smith (Cote); his stepchildren, Emily Thompson (Justin) and Abel Braughton; his grandchildren, Haydn, Harper, Hadley and Avery; his siblings, Jeff (Diane) and Jana Allen (Ronnie); Jeff. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
During the pandemic, he spent a lot of time playing pool.
