John F. Allman Obituary
It is with sadness that the passing of John F. Allman of Greenwood, Indiana is shared. John, born on July 31, 1946, passed away on September 22, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Jean Margaret Allman (McAllister) and Russell Paul Allman; his brothers, Mark and Bill; and his son Jeff.
He is survived by: his siblings, Doug Allman (Elaine) of Traverse City, MI, James Allman (Diane) of Kalamazoo, MI and Marcia Kowalski (Gene) of Louden, TN; his children, Chad Allman (Julie) of Glen Ellyn, IL and Jeana Thomas (Ian) of South Glastonbury, CT; his daughter-in-law Emilee Allman of Greenwood, IN; and his grandchildren, Luke, Tatum (Jeff), Brooklyn, Audrey, Reece, Myer (Chad), Colin, Braden and Derek (Jeana). He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
A memorial gathering was held on Friday, September 25th 2026 from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Southland Community Church (5800 W Smith Valley Rd, Greenwood, IN 46142). A celebration of life was held on Saturday, September 26th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the same location. The military honors was held on Saturday, September 26th 2026 at the Military Honors Mount Pleasant Cemetery (734 N Morgantown Rd, Greenwood, IN 46142).
