He was predeceased by: his parents, Conrad Decker and Dorsie Decker. He is survived by: his wife Tammy Decker (Proffitt); his children, Nancy Ashlock (Jeff), Judy Chapin (Derek), Larry Decker, Cassie Strode and BJ Strode; and his grandchildren, Nathan Wilson, Victoria Padgett, Kassy Scott, Kayla Chapin, Cole Chapin (Catrina), Brianna Nuckols, Kyiah Strode and Hunter Strode. He is also survived by his 10 great grandchildren; his several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, September 23rd 2026 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Forest Lawn Funeral Home (1977 S State Rd 135, Greenwood, IN 46143). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, September 23rd 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Wednesday, September 23rd 2026 at 3:00 PM at the Forest Lawn Memory Gardens (1977 S State Rd 135, Greenwood, IN 46143).
