Lyle Richard Headington Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Lyle Richard Headington (Greenwood, Indiana), who passed away on March 19, 2026 at the age of 80. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

In the vast expanse of eternity, Lyle shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid Lyle farewell, his loved ones carry with them the precious gift of his memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Headington and Lois Headington. He is survived by: his wife Diane Headington; his son Tom Headington (Kathleen); his grandchildren, Caleb, Mallory and Finnick; and his brothers, Lee Headington and Marc Headington (Debbie). He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project or the Indiana Honor Flight.
