He was predeceased by: his parents, Don Jr. Gooch and Mary Jane Gooch (Troutman); and his grandparents, Don and Flora Gooch. He is survived by: his wife Ruth Gooch (Wright); his children, Dorothy Hawkins and Kelly Elder (Brett); his grandchildren, Devin Hawkins (Meranda), Megan Colwell (Taylor), Mason Elder (Bailey), Ethan Elder and Grace Harpole (Roman); and his great grandchildren, Tacia, Reagan, Remi, Maverick, Tate and Weston.
