She was predeceased by: her parents, Ralph Gunning and Eula Gunning; and her husband John L. Averitt. She is survived by: her children, Pam Anderson (Joe), Phil Averitt (Cherie) and Jeff Averitt (Rhonda); and her grandchildren, Leah Averitt, Anthony Anderson (Julia), Eric Averitt (Saki), Shawn Anderson (April), David Averitt, Stephen Averitt (Katie), Daniel Averitt, Nathan Averitt, Thomas Averitt and Joshua Averitt. She is also survived by five great-grandchildren.
