He was predeceased by : his parents, Herman Tharp and Stella Mae Tharp; and his siblings, Eugene Tharp, Roger Tharp, Jerrie Garand and Leah Tharp.

He is survived by : his wife Teresa Tharp; his children, Amanda Kaster (Russell), Dusten Tharp (Jessica) and Jonathan Ross (Amy); his grandchildren, Ashley Navarro, Jordan Michaels, Mya Michaels, Hailey Bush, Leland Tharp, Kolby Ross, Landon Ross, Summer Kaster, Autumn Kaster, Jacklynne Ross and Jamison Ross; and his brothers, Stanley Tharp, Danny Tharp (Sandy) of John and Willie Tharp (Helen).
