He was predeceased by: his father George M. McDowell. He is survived by: his wife Deborah McDowell (Kritsch); his daughter Michelle Northam (Eric) of Georgia; his grandchildren, Kaitlynn, Brianna and Chase; his sister Louann Babka (Dana) of Michigan; and his brother-in-law Michael Kritsch (Lynda). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
