He is survived by: his wife Vicki Smith (Rankin); his children, Michelle Allen (Smith) and Michael Smith; his daughter-in-law Megan Smith (Patterson); his grandchildren, Connor Allen, Lillian Smith, Claire Smith and Brady Smith; and his siblings, Sandy Duffie (Smith) and Dwight Smith.
In a testament to his generous spirit, the family is requesting that, in lieu of flowers, donations be made in his memory to the Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation.
