He was predeceased by : his parents, Eldo Slater and Josephine Slater; his former life partner Sandy K Slater; and his brother Richard Slater. He is survived by : his wife Sandra Kay Helt; his daughter Connie Slater Allen; his son-in-law Kent Allen; his son Scott Slater; his daughter-in-law Sandy R Slater; his grandchildren, Amy Vinton (Dan) and Craig Allen (Brianne); his stepgrandchildren, Christopher and Presley Nicholson; and his great grandchildren, Yoshie Vinton, Elijah Vinton, Porter Vinton, Poppy Allen and Wells Allen.
