He was predeceased by: his parents, Francis Hein and Mary Hein; his sister Ruth Rick (Erwin); and his brothers-in-law, Frank Gard (Helen) and William Gard (Mary Ann).
He is survived by: his wife Mary Kathleen "Kathy"; his daughters, Sandra Kozol (Ken), Denise Walsh (Larry) and Beth Roe (Russ); his grandchildren, Marie (Chris), Lawrence Jr., Ryan, Amy (Clayton), Lana, Mia and Chad; his great grandchildren, Emma, Gwen, Allison and Luci; and his sister-in-law Roberta Bechtold (Gerald).
