Though Etta may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Etta touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Alvin Annable and Lillie Annable (Steele); her husband James Martin (Roberta); and her son Jimmie Martin. She is survived by: her daughters, Shirley Merritt (Ken), Sandra Casey (Bill) and Patricia "Trish" Scheffer (Mark); and her sister Thelma Penrod. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; 19½ great-great-grandchildren.
A graveside service was held on Wednesday, July 2nd 2025 at 1:00 AM and at 1:00 PM at the Grovertown Cemetery.
