Joan Marie Monahan Obituary

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Joan Marie Monahan (Guilford, Indiana), who passed away on May 24, 2026, at the age of 73, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, John Ellis and Ruth Ellis; and her brother Paul Ellis. She is survived by: her husband Joseph Monahan; her children, Michelle Schaurer (John), Jeff Monahan, Brian Monahan (Lisa) and Jill Bingham (Rick); her grandsons, Caleb and Cole Monahan; her children, Whitney, Olivia, Brooklyn Schaurer, Anabelle, Lilian, Mariella, William Monahan, Jacob Scudder and Caroline Bingham; and her siblings, Tom Ellis, Diane Sidwell (Marshall), Ken Ellis and Laurie Waddle. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and many wonderful friends.

In lieu of flowers, and in keeping with Joan's giving spirit, donations may be made to North Dearborn Pantry or the FCCLA Trojan Food Pantry (checks payable to ECHS).
