He was predeceased by : his parents, Donald Cool and Maxine Cool (Sanders); his wife Rebecca A. Fetzer; and his brothers, Lanny Cool, Dave Cool and Kevin Cool.

He is survived by : his sons, Rodney (Alicia Cool) and Toby (Kim Cool); his grandchildren, Dustin Cool, Ryan Cool, Myileigh Cool and Adam Cool (Kyle); his great grandchildren, Ella Mog and Bryer Jones; and his sister-in-law Marsha Peters of Hicksville, Ohio..

Memorials may be directed to the Hamilton Fire Department or Hamilton Fish and Game Club.
