He is survived by: his mother Diane Short (Morley); his wife Annette (Messer); his children, Amber Minix (Brian), Melissa Short (Chad Womack), Michael Short (Lisa), Jennifer Tarr (Keith) and Christopher Short (Naomi); and his siblings, Stuart "Sonny" Short (Stella), Bob Short (Helen), Kathy Warrick and Amy Short. He is also survived by thirteen grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
