We announce the death of Maria Pucel of Hamlet, Indiana, who passed away on July 31, 2026, at the age of 89. Maria will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. She was predeceased by: her parents, Ivanka Jerovsek and John Jerovsek; her husband Robert Pucel; and her siblings, Silva Jerovsek and John Jerovsek.
She is survived by: her children, Roberta Krause (David), Joe Pucel (Jodi) and Terry Pucel (Lori); her grandchildren, Brad Krause, Matt Krause, Jordan Pucel (Sarah), Lindey Johnson (Tim), Bobby Pucel (Michelle), Becky Roeder (Matt), Jonathan Pucel (Haley), Emily Abair (Zach) and Lauren McGaughey (Quentin); her siblings, Boza Radoman and Philip Jerovsek (Milka); and her sister-in-law Jozi Jerovsek. She is also survived by 13 great grandchildren, nieces, cousins and many extended family.
