It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Anita A. Beard of Hammond, Indiana, who passed away on March 18, 2024, at the age of 98, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by : her husband William "Bill" Beard; her parents, James Kostopulos and Charlotte Kostopulos; and her siblings, John Kostopulos, Robert Kostopulos, Leona Wisniewski and Loretta Lycas.

She is survived by : her daughters, Karen Lawson (late Bob), Kathy Brucker (Dennis) and Billie Sue Harkenrider (late Greg); her grandchildren, Brian Lawson, Scott Brucker (Kristina), Kendra Vaja (Mickey), Robin Williams (Scott) and Melissa Harkenrider; her close friends, Joe, Joann, Karen, Pat, Charlotte, David and David H.; and her pet Daisy Mae. She is also survived by 8 great grandchildren and 8 great-great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
