With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Anne Elizabeth Kutak of Hammond, Indiana, born in Chicago, Illinois, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on April 6, 2026 at the age of 88. As we bid Anne farewell, let us not mourn the absence of her physical form, but rather celebrate the essence of her spirit that lingers in the spaces between moments. For Anne is not truly gone, but merely transformed, her energy intertwined with the fabric of the universe itself, forever dancing among the stars.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Jerome Kutak and Jessamine Kutak; and her siblings, Carolyn and Robert Kutak. She is survived by: her sister Mary Lou Gifford; her brother-in-law Roland Gifford; her niece Jennifer Foster; her nephew Stuart Collin Foster; and her great-nephew Alex Wall.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Save the Children, Children International, or Educate Girls, organizations which strive to eliminate the economic and societal inequalities that prevent children from receiving the quality education they deserve, or Make a Wish Foundation.
