Arpie Sawaya Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Arpie Sawaya (Hammond, Indiana), who passed away on April 24, 2026 at the age of 86. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Arpie Sawaya to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her husband Sami Sawaya; her parents, Dr. Khoren Yeretsian and Alice Yeretsian; and her siblings, Leda and Ara.
She is survived by: her daughters, Maria Tombalakian of Madison, NJ and Carina Yessayan of Chicago, IL; her grandchildren, Celia, Leo Tombalakian, Alexandra and Victoria Yessayan; her nieces, Zeina, Rima, Aleen Andreou, Dr. Rita Yeretsian and Nellie Yacoubian; and her nephew Halim Sawaya.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to the Lebanon Humanitarian Fund, which can be made online at Lebanon Humanitarian Relief Fund or with a check made payable to the United Nations Foundation with "Lebanon Humanitarian Fund" in the memo line, sent to P.O.
