The family announces the passing of Caroline Handley of Hammond, Indiana on October 9, 2026. Caroline, born on January 9, 1933, was part of many shared moments and relationships throughout life. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husbands, Ronald Saeger and Douglas Handley; her children, Debra Saeger and Alan Saeger; and her grandson Louis Earl Saeger.
She is survived by: her sons, Dennis Saeger, John Saeger (Sandra), Elden Saeger (Cindy) and Douglas Handley II (Carrie). She is also survived by grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and numerous other loving family members and friends.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 23rd 2026 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Hillside Funeral Home & Cremation Center (8941 Kleinman Rd, Highland, IN 46322). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 23rd 2026 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, October 24th 2026.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Caroline's honor may be made to the Alzheimer's Association. Donations may be made online through the memorial donation link.
