He is survived by: his brothers, Earl, Eddie Sims and Hammond; his children, Myra Sims (Anthony), Earl Sims (Duangpen) and Eddie Sims (Vernita); his siblings, Ivers Sims (Vanessa), Lovie Mae Tyler, Annie Lois Marsh, Eva Houston and Faye Smith; and his granddaughter Terryona Sims.
Viewing will be held on Friday, October 2nd 2026 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM and on Saturday, October 3rd 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM. A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, October 3rd 2026 at 12:00 PM at the Zion Rest Baptist Church (1647 Co Rd 213, Wedowee, AL 36278).
