In the sacred silence of farewell, Jerry is released into the embrace of eternity, knowing that his light will continue to shine brightly in the tapestry of the lives of his loved ones. And as his memory is carried forward, may comfort be found in the knowledge that love is eternal, and that Jerry's spirit lives on in the beauty that surrounds us.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Kenneth Mitchell and Buela Mitchell; and his sister Lana. He is survived by: his wife Alicia; his sons, Daniel Mitchell (Jenny) and Adrian Mitchell (Allison Boswinkle); his stepdaughter Julissa Gonzalez Kotvasz (Sean); his grandchildren, Valentina and Lorenzo; and his sister Rita Eppley (Gerry). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Monday, May 5th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the LaHayne Funeral Home (6955 Southeastern Ave, Hammond, IN 46324). A funeral service will be held on Monday, May 5th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the same location.
