As we bid Joanne farewell, let us not mourn the absence of her physical form, but rather celebrate the essence of her spirit that lingers in the spaces between moments. For Joanne is not truly gone, but merely transformed, her energy intertwined with the fabric of the universe itself, forever dancing among the stars.
She was predeceased by: her father Larry Jackson; and her siblings, Donna (Jansen), Beverly (Sajdyk) and Richard Jackson. She is survived by: her mother Yvonne Jackson (Kerstell); her sisters, Beatrice (Parks) and Patricia (Castillo); and her friend Daryl Smith. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, October 18th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Hope United Methodist Church (7320 Northcote Ave, Hammond, IN 46324).
