He was predeceased by: his parents, William Burk and Elsie Burk (Merkell). He is survived by: his wife Diane S. Burk; his children, John R. Burk, Jr. (Nicole E. Burk) and Kristine E. Stasi (Steven L. Stasi); his stepdaughter Nicole M. Stinson (Christopher G. Tucker); his grandchildren, Nora M. Burk, Paisley Q. Burk, Christopher K. Tucker, Jessica K. Tucker and Dalaina S. Tucker; his siblings, Georgeann York-Crosslin (Thomas Crosslin) and Steve Burk; and his sister-in-law Debra L. Olsson. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and dear friends.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 21st 2026 at 3:00 PM at the Hillside Funeral Home & Cremation Center (8941 Kleinman Rd, Highland, IN 46322).
