He was predeceased by: his parents, John Theis and Thelma Theis; his son John C. Theis III; his wife Rosemary Theis; and his sisters, Betty Jane Sheffield and AnnaBelle McMahon.
He is survived by: his daughter Mary Jane "MJ"; his son-in-law Jerry; his grandchildren, Thomas Poracky (Laura) and Kristen La Rocca (Anthony); and his great grandchildren, Landon, Sydney and Sevastian.
