Larry L. Wright Obituary
We announce the death of Larry L. Wright of Hammond, Indiana, who passed away on October 16, 2026, at the age of 80. Larry will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Larry will be remembered for the impact he had on the lives of those around him. Friends, family, and colleagues will cherish their memories and the time shared. Those who knew Larry will remember moments of kindness, warmth, and presence. Though words cannot fully capture his life, the legacy of connections and experiences remains. Larry’s absence will be deeply felt by those who valued his companionship.
He is survived by: his children, Larry S. Wright, Amy Wald (Michael), Dennis Wright (Daniel Capron) and David Wright (Victoria); his grandchildren, Jonas Wald (Cali Young) and Delilah Wald; and his siblings, Richard Chandler (Cindy) and Teresa Ann Rowe (Larry). He is also survived by kittens: Leia, Blackjack and One Ear.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, October 24th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM at the Castle Hill Funeral Home (1219 Sheffield Ave, Dyer, IN 46311). The military honors will be held on Saturday, October 24th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers Larry would love a donation in his name to a local animal shelter or for his kittens to be taken care of. We will have a box for food, treats, toys or anything else you would like to donate.
