She was predeceased by : her parents, Raymond Kemppainen and Patricia Kemppainen; her husband Donald Martin Horst; her daughter Jessica Layne Horst; and her siblings, Raymond Kemppainen (Pamela), Rodney Kemppaninen, Erick Kemppainen (Melinda), Craig Kemppainen (Sheene), Mark Kemppainen and Catherine Shepherd (Ambrose).

She is survived by : her children, Brian (Christina), Rencie Ruiz (Raymond), Nathan, Aaron, Kyle (Sandra) and Jasmine (Cory); her grandchildren, Josh, Jason, Delilah, Jordan, Matteo, Jylene, Juvia, Keilani, Keira, Trinity, Aaliyah and Kyandra; and her brother Michael Kemppainen (Anita).
