She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Lester Owens and Fannie Mae Owens; her siblings, Maurice Thomas, James "Butch" Thomas, Robert "Jack" Owens, Jr., Edward Owens, Freeman Owens and Patricia Graham (Owens); and her nephew Robert Owens, III.
She is survived by: her daughter Nicole "Nikki" Thomas; her granddaughter Grace Thomas of East Chicago, Indiana; and her sibling's children, Anthony, Antonia, Cliff, Michelle, Denise, Yaneisha, Kim, Samuel, Maurice, Jr., Lisa, Tavius and James, Jr.. She is also survived by numerous aunts and uncles, cousins and friends.
