She was predeceased by: her parents, Helen Irene Powell (Bommy) and Russell Ellis Powell (Poppy); her former husband William Frank Cherbak; and her husband Richard Schaller. She is survived by: her children, Sue Ellen Brewer of Tampa, FL., Denise Cherbak of Knox, IN, David Cherbak of Santa Barbara, CA and Kelly Jean (Jeff) of Lafayette, IN; her brothers, Dennis Powell (Jean) of Salinas, CA. and Richard Powell; her sister-in-law Beti Powell of Munster, IN.; her niece Erin Powell Hacker (David) of Hammond; and her friend Wanda Grugel of Griffith, IN.. She is also survived by five grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
