She was predeceased by: her husband Paul C. Murchek; her parents, Walter Stavitzke and Rosalind Stavitzke; and her brothers, Walter Stavitzke, Jr. and Richard Stavitzke.
She is survived by: her children, Paulette Porter (late Fred), David Murchek (Fred), Pamela Murchek (Carolina) and Daniel Murchek. She is also survived by her ten grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Muriel's honor to the Hammond YMCA.
