We are sad to announce that on October 2, 2025, Robert Petitt of Hammond, Indiana passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Ben Petitt and Nellie Petitt; his siblings, Douglas Petitt (late Agnes), Donald Petitt (late Georgia), Violet Sanders, Elizabeth Fannin and Frances Petitt; and his brother-in-law Charles Boyd.
He is survived by: his wife Nora Petitt; his children, Deanna J. Munjas (late John), Tammy L. Barnett (James) and Robert D. Petitt; his grandchildren, Sarah Harris (Sean), Evan Munjas and Tyler Munjas; his children, Liam Nydam and Ryan Barnett; and his great grandchild Tyson Harris. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 8th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Solan Pruzin Funeral Home (14 Kennedy Ave, Schererville, IN 46375). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 8th 2025 at 6:30 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, donations to Hospice of the Calumet would be appreciated.
