With sadness, we share the passing of Charles Howell of Hanover, Indiana. Charles, born on May 3, 1950 in Bedford, Indiana, passed away on September 22, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, John R. Howell and Mary Jane Wright Howell; his parents-in-law, John William Johnson and Clare Ritzel Johnson; his siblings, John Dean Howell, Darlene Howell and Marlene Jane Howell Russell; and his brothers-in-law, Gary Johnson and Brian Johnson.
He is survived by: his wife Jackie Howell of Hanover, Indiana; his children, Michael Howell (Tracy) of Hanover, Indiana and Kristen Chalou of Hanover, Indiana; his grandchildren, Peyton Howell, Jackson Howell and Adyson Goldman; his sister Linda Boldery of Seymour, Indiana; and his brother-in-law William Johnson (Ruth) of Pottsville, Pennsylvania. He is also survived by his several nieces, nephews.
Visitation will be held on Monday, September 28th 2026 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Tuesday, September 29th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the Hanover Chapel (278 E Main St, Hanover, IN 47243). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, September 29th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
