He was predeceased by: his mother Carolyn Smith (Careins); and his wife Cindy Sue Smith (Sharp). He is survived by: his father Richard Smith of Winter Haven, FL; his children, Timothy L. Walter (Rachel) of Westfield, IN, Nicole R. Wheatley (Matthew) of Louisville, KY and Emily A. Moore (Nick) of Indianapolis; his grandchildren, MaKenzie Walter, Brianna Walter, Charlotte Wheatley and Lennon Wheatley; and his siblings, Scott Smith of Winter Haven, FL and Lisa Jones (Jeffrey) of Greenwood, IN. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 2nd 2025 from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Pickle Lounge (1776 Independence Pkwy, Hartford City, IN 47348).
