It is with great sadness that we announce the death of David M. Kilty (Hartford City, Indiana), born in Muncie, Indiana, who passed away on January 31, 2024, at the age of 69, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his parents, Dr. Mark Kilty and Mary Elaine "Marilane" Kilty (Smith); his wife Christine Kay Kilty (Smelser); and his son David M. Kilty. He is survived by : his children, Shane M. Kilty (Tracie) of Nashville, TN, Kasey L. Kilty, Wayne Ballestero of Monticello and Elizabeth "Liz" M. DeHaven (Drew) of Noblesville; his grandchildren, Joshua D. Mellor, Logan S. Kilty, Aspen Velazquez (Oscar), Kyran Williams, Avalyn Williams, Kamara Williams and Kingston Ballestero; his close friends, Jodie Boxell of Hartford City and Bob Reynolds of Hartford City; his brother Daniel A. Kilty (Pam) of Arizona; and his siblings-in-law, June Ellen, Rev. Ron Storms, Betty V. Walston, Lois M. McIntire, Tom, Linda Smelser, Darrell and Leanna Smelser. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
