He was predeceased by : his son Jarod Allen Hicks; his stepparents, Burr "Bubby" Ryan and Lowan Hicks; and his brother Bill "Willy" Ryan. He is survived by : his parents, Charles J. Hicks (Joyce Liggett) of Eaton and Gloria Jean Ryan (Borror) of Marion; his sons, Joseph A. (Christina Hudson) of Hartford City and Jeremy A. Crabtree (Landyn) of Colorado; his grandchildren, Ryker Hicks, Austin Hudson, Madison Hudson, Kirsten Hudson and Maekenzie Crabtree; his great grandchildren, Zo'Lana Hudson, Carter Mansfield, Lakelynn Hudson and Bexton Hudson; and his siblings, Ric C. Hicks (Debbie Gribben) and Cindie C. Mounsey.
