Doris June Welte Obituary
The memory of Doris June Welte (Haubstadt, Indiana), who passed away on December 12, 2025 at the age of 98, will forever remain in the hearts of those touched by this precious presence in their lives. She was predeceased by: her parents, William C. Kuhlenschmidt and Emelia Kuhlenschmidt (Gerichs); her husband Clarence "Tiny" Welte; her children, Joseph Welte and Teresa Pijut; and her siblings, Wilma Baker, Mildred Schultheis and Wilfred Kuhlenschmidt.
She is survived by: her children, Tom Welte (Rosie) of Evansville, Mike Welte (Darlene) of Evansville, David Welte (Ann) of Evansville, Ron Welte (Deana) of Elberfeld and Jane Meyer (Bryan) of Haubstadt; her son-in-law David Pijut of Newburgh; her grandchildren, Jeffrey Welte (Kim), Matthew Welte (Rachel), Mark Welte (Katie), Julie Patterson (Matt), Bryan Welte (Michelle), Stephanie Wargel (Kyle Porter), Jonathan Welte (Alyssa), Kyle Pijut (Sonja), Lauren Pijut, Travis Meyer (Krista) and Alex Meyer (Maci); and her stepgrandchild Robin Antey (Tim). She is also survived by nineteen great-grandchildren and three step-great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
A prayer will be held on Wednesday, December 17th 2025 at 2:30 PM at the Stodghill Funeral Home (500 E Park St, Fort Branch, IN 47648). Visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 17th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Thursday, December 18th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Thursday, December 18th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church (211 N Vine St, Haubstadt, IN 47639).
