He was predeceased by : his parents, Andrew Goedde and Marie Goedde (Schaefer); his stepmother Frieda Goedde (Seng); his brother Marvin Goedde; his sister-in-law Doris Goedde (Frick); and his grandson Matthew Scheller.

He is survived by : his wife Janith Kissel; his children, Marilyn Sermersheim (Eric) of Rockport, IN, Timothy Goedde, MD (Ann Marie) of Indianapolis, IN, Marie Smith (Frank) of Greenwood, IN, Terry Goedde (Kim), Gary Goedde (Kristie), Bill Goedde (Laura), Paul Goedde (Kelli), Laura Happe (Dean) and Amy Scheller (Kent) of Haubstadt, IN.; his siblings, Urban Goedde, Darwin Goedde (Jeanette) of Evansville, IN, Andrew Goedde (Marcia) of Haubstadt, IN and Loretta Schmitt (Jerome) of Evansville, IN; his sister-in-law Annette Goedde of Evansville, IN; and his caregivers, Donna Rhodes and Diana Wagler. He is also survived by 25 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in his honor may be made to Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church or the Right to Life of Gibson County.
