He is survived by: his children, Ritchie Maier (Annette) of Haubstadt and Jill Heuer (John) of Elberfeld; his grandchildren, Kyle Maier (Melanie), Alexander Maier, Derrick Holmes (Angela), James Heuer and Alex Markle (Paige); and his great grandchildren, Elli, Andi, Weston, Levi and Aurora.
A rosary will be held on Thursday, October 16th 2025 at 2:30 PM at the Stodghill Funeral Home (500 E Park St, Fort Branch, IN 47648). Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 16th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Friday, October 17th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday, October 17th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. James Catholic Church (12300 S 50 W, Haubstadt, IN 47639). The military honors will be held on Friday, October 17th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St James Catholic Cemetery (12300 S 50 W, Haubstadt, IN 47639). A committal service will be held on Friday, October 17th 2025 at 11:15 AM at the same location.
