He is survived by : his wife Martha Jean Wheaton (Riddle); his children, Michael Wheaton (Michelle) and Tamara Allison (Paul); his grandchildren, Rachel Wheaton, Carrie Allison, Luke Allison and Hannah Wheaton; his sister Phyllis Kitchens (Bill); and his goddaughter Elizabeth Muster (Lee).
