He was predeceased by: his parents, Alda Elberta Wehner Burke and Glenn Elbert Burke; his grandson Jacob Sachleben; his nephew Mark Burke; and also Alda Elberta Wehner Burke.
He is survived by: his daughters, Gretchen Smith (Keith) of Holden Beach and Christine Burke of Charlestown, Indiana; his stepson Joseph Sachleben (Fawn) of Edmond, Oklahoma; his grandchildren, Bethany, Dalton, Wyatt, Jackson, Isaac, Bo, Brianna, Zack, Karilynn, Jeffery, Zachary, Lucas, Skylar, Jaylynn and Anna; his great grandchildren, Magnolia Mae and Ellis; and his siblings, Janet Long (Ronald) of Madison, Indiana and Gary Burke (Stephanie) of Madison, Indiana. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 17th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Friday, July 18th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Morgan & Nay Funeral Centre (325 Demaree Dr, Madison, IN 47250). A funeral service will be held on Friday, July 18th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location. The military honors will be held on Friday, July 18th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Indiana Veterans Memorial Chapel (1415 N Gate Rd, Madison, IN 47250).
