With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Allene M. Heeter of Highland, Indiana, born in Slippery Rock, Pennsylvania, who passed away on May 29, 2025 at the age of 99. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Bert Wilson and Clara Wilson (Wimer); her siblings, Ruth, Edwin, John, Russell, Ray and Pauline; her husband William B. Heeter; and her son-in-law Ronald.
She is survived by: her children, Sandra Shaffer (Ronald), Cheryl Buchanan (Kenneth), William R. Heeter (Karen), Bonnie Sottiaux (James) and Jeffrey Heeter (Nancy); her grandchildren, Jonathan Shaffer (Jennifer), Jason Shaffer (Angela), Jamie White, Christopher Buchanan (Crystal), Chad Buchanan (Elvira Perez), Tyler Buchanan, William R. Heeter (Lauren), Michelle Sottiaux (Jeffrey Ellison), Sara Black (Derek), Holly Sottiaux (Nathan Billings), Jared Heeter (Jennifer) and Emily Webb (Bradon); and her sister-in-law Barbara Wilson. She is also survived by 24 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
